Art Van Bruggen, Founder

CPA

Art began working at our firm on August 4, 1977, the day it all began! He is the founder of our firm and was the first practicing CPA in Sioux County. Art consults with businesses on various matters ranging from inception to transition and estate planning. He is a tax advisor and preparer, and accounts manager at the Boyden office; he particularly appreciates helping people and working with clients who have grown to be friends.

Civic Involvement:

• Member of Boyden Kiwanis Club
• Involved with Northwest Iowa Gideons International, Boyden Economic Development Corporation, Boyden Association of Churches, and Tabernacle Baptist Church

Education:

• BS degree from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI

Interests and Hobbies:

• Vietnam War Veteran
• Nature, especially trees
• Nine grandchildren (and counting) who look up to their grandpa

Myron Bechler, Manager

Myron is one of our most senior professionals, having joined the firm in 1982. Myron's duties range from tax planning and preparation to financial statement preparation; in addition, he provides Quicken® and Quickbooks® support and assists the Boyden office with their IT needs. Myron appreciates the contact he has with clients in the area, the small town atmosphere, and the flexible work environment. He enjoys the challenge in staying abreast of ever-changing tax laws and the opportunities to assist clients by identifying and implementing tax-saving strategies.

• Alpaca farming

Craig Harms, Office Administrator

Craig serves as the Office Administrator for our Boyden office; he is in charge of training, personnel matters, workflow, and client communications. Before deciding on an accounting degree, Craig worked in a variety of jobs, including truck driving, sales, lawn services, and construction - these work experiences help him to understand and relate to the small businesses with which he works. Craig is involved with consulting, tax planning and preparation for individuals and entities; he especially enjoys meeting with clients and assisting them with their various needs, whether routine or unique - he has even been known to assist them in their fields during harvest!

• Member and past president of Boyden Community Club
• Member of Hull Chamber of Commerce
• Treasurer for Sheridan Township

Education:

• BS degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Sioux Falls

Interests and Hobbies:

• Avid outdoorsman (and decorating his office with camo décor)

Stacie Snieder, Accountant

Stacie enjoys working on challenging projects, whether individual and entity tax returns, financial statement generation, or various other analyses. She appreciates learning something new every day and working closely with accounting colleagues.

Julie Leusink, Accountant

Julie has a wide range of duties with the firm, ranging from annual reporting to individual/entity tax preparation and general client assistance. She enjoys the interaction with clients and the opportunities to assist them with various business and financial needs.

Linda Rook, Office Coordinator

Linda is the office coordinator in the Boyden office. She performs numerous tasks that keep the office running smoothly: assisting clients with various needs, scanning, assembling tax returns, recordkeeping, payroll preparation, to name a few. Linda thrives on the energy of a dynamic work environment. She loves the clients and enjoys making them feel comfortable.

• Plays role of Mrs. Claus for Sanborn Chamber
• Notary public for state of Iowa

Interests and Hobbies:

• Riding horse and spending time with people who share that hobby

Teri Kelderman, Office Assistant

Teri is the receptionist at the Boyden office; she greets clients by phone or in person and assists them with their various needs. In addition, Teri prepares deposits, e-files tax returns, assists with scheduling, and does electronic and physical filing. She enjoys getting to know clients, making sure they are greeted warmly and that their needs are met.
